Our mission is to provide grants to foster the adoption of children with Down syndrome and other special needs, children older than two years, sibling groups, or children who are otherwise considered to be difficult to place.

Forget Me Not Adoption Fund, Inc. was founded in 2003 as a section 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation by Jenice and Pete Pearl in response to the Lord's call upon their hearts to provide a means to foster the adoption of orphaned children who are often forgotten. Jenice and Pete are the parents of 4 children. Two of their children came to them by international adoption, one at the age of 3 years and one at the age of 6 years. Their first child came to them by birth and was born with Down syndrome. Their 4th child also came to them by birth. Having a child with a disability and children who came to their family by way of adoption at an older age, Jenice and Pete know first hand the blessings that come from such amazing children.

Jenice and Pete are passionate about adoption as a means to build a family and trying to find forever families for children who are often overlooked with no hope for a future. Thus, Forget Me Not was born to aid orphans around the world who are typically more difficult to place because of their age, disability, or because they are part of a sibling group. Specifically, we raise funds to provide grants to designated children identified by Forget Me Not. We have found that in many cases families who are willing to adopt children who are typically more difficult to place have often previously adopted and do not have the financial means to fully support another adoption. However, if a specific child or sibling group has a grant "attached," it is often the very means by which a family can adopt the child.

Adoption is God's work and it is His way of building His family. Everyone can participate in God's work and demonstrate His love by either adopting orphaned children, supporting their adoption financially and/or praying for them. We believe at Forget Me Not that every child born is a blessing and a purpose-filled individual created in the image of God, each one deserving of a loving, forever family. It is our fervent prayer that with God's help Forget Me Not will be a means for many forgotten orphaned children to receive the love of Christ through adoption by a loving family.

Forget Me Not is a volunteer staffed non-profit organization. Over 95% of all donations go directly to the funding of grants. All donations are tax deductible as allowed by law.
